REQUIREMENTS
Essentially for all Class 6 buildings over 100m2 require emergency lights; and all Class 6 buildings require at least one exit sign. All required emergency lights and exit signs should must comply with Australian Standard AS 2293.1
DISCHARGE TEST
All emergency and exit lights have to undergo a discharge test lasting for 90 mins every 6 months as per AS2293.2. With any light failure, it is important to understand that it may not be as simple as replacing the backup battery as there are other elements that may be causing the fault such as a faulty power converter.
SUPPLY AND REPLACEMENT
DK Fire and Safety technicians are trained to both supply and replace emergency lights as required.By testing emergency lighting in the correct manner, we can assist you with managing your bulb stock ensuring you always have efficient working bulbs and this will minimise the possiblity of light blowouts
